Tending Hearts Therapy

for relationships and individuals of all shapes and sizes

Welcome

Tending to relationships with self and others is an ongoing process— this space is a recognition that the efforts we put into growing is a labor of love.

Recognizing you feel lost is one of the first signs you are on the way to healing

Our bodies carry emotions and stories of where we have been. Much like a tree, we grow, survive, twist, and release as a response to our environment.

Most of the time, our branches wax and wane with the seasons, but sometimes we experience barriers that inhibit our innate capacity to flourish and connect with others.

Therapy is one of many supportive resources that can help you expand into a more dynamic perspective of your obstacles—so your roots and branches can discover their own creative routes towards nourishment.

Hands Up

Who I work with

As a neurodivergent and queer person, I am passionate about exploring with folks who want to cultivate a relationship with themself and others using their own palette:

- LGBTQIA+

- consensual nonmonogamy

- neurodivergent

- sex workers

- kink

- meaning/spirituality

When you are ready, I am excited and honored to witness the unfurling of your story.

Equity & Social Justice Statement

We all live under an oppressive system, with some impacted more than others. My stance is that social justice is a process of humanizing each other, from which we are driven to dismantle colonizing structures out of love.

In therapy this can look like emotional safety, care, play, self-expression, authenticity, humor, interdependence, negotiating and enforcing boundaries, and considering the ways we engage with self and others that perpetuate harmful dynamics.

As a white, thin, currently able-bodied, US-born cis-woman whose first language is English, I have benefited from a multitude of oppressive structures rooted in white supremacy and Euro-centrism. It is a never- ending process to expand my knowledge of how our unique experiences of being human are impacted, and refine the ways I leverage my unearned privileges to support and engage with clients.
